What is Doc2pdf

Doc2pdf is an email robot that converts Microsoft Office attachments (.doc, .ppt, and .xls) to PDF.  The next time you email a Microsoft Office document, Cc doc2pdf.  Doc2pdf will convert the attachment to .pdf, and send the .pdf file as an attachment in a reply to the sender and all recipients.

For more information read the Doc2pdf Overview .

Try it!

Want to see Doc2pdf work?  Simple.  Send an email with a  SMALL attached Microsoft Word document to doc2pdf@hotpop.com.  A Doc2pdf robot will convert the attached .doc file and send you a reply with your .doc file as a .pdf
attachment.

NOTICE: Do not send numerous emails or large attachments (>100k) to doc2pdf@hotpop.com.  If you send a large attachment, you will not get back a reply as attachment size is limited by the hotpop.com MTA.  doc2pdf@hotpop.com is for trial use ONLY.  For production use, you should install Doc2pdf on your network with a local mailbox.

BUGS: If you do not receive a reply from doc2pdf@hotpop.com with an attached .pdf file, please report a bug by resending the email (with the attachment) to mpeterson@users.sourceforge.net.  Make sure that the string "doc2pdf bug" is found in the subject.   The more emails I get the better the Doc2pdf will be.  Thanks!

FONTS:  The machine that services the doc2pdf@hotpop.com mailbox is currently not installed with all the non-english versions of the Microsoft fonts.  This means that some special characters of certain non-english languages or specialized fonts may not be converted correctly.  I encourage you to download Doc2pdf and run it on your own machine where those fonts are installed.  Then it will convert your non-english documents correctly.
